You Can Dye Leather!

This was quite a revelation to me. I was able to save my beloved bag, which had become dingy and ink-stained. I ordered bordeaux colored dye from The Shoe Shine Kit, and proceeded to dye my bag with a product called Tarrago. I highly recommend this dye. It took hours of methodically rubbing in the dye with a special sponge, but the cleanup on my hands and the hardware was super easy. Be warned: the result doesn't look good on the first application. It takes layers to build up. But I'm stoked to give my old bag new life and it feels less wasteful than just buying a new bag.
